There are no default shortcuts for this feature 😢. Your browser doesn't support embedded videos. This shortcut lets me focus on both split terminals and new terminals. I prefer to split the terminal over creating a new one.

Here, I used the Control modifier for Mac (or Win for Windows). The easiest way, I thought, would be to add another modifier. I wanted this shortcut to be a slight variant of the toggle terminal shortcut. I already toggle the terminal with Command + Option + `. Search for Split Terminal in Visual Studio Code’s keyboard shortcuts panel. We can split the terminal into two with the Split Terminal action. I changed the shortcut to Ctrl + Alt to keep it consistent with the Mac version. On Windows, my Alt key is next to the Ctrl key. It’s still easy to use because I can press Command and Option together with my thumb. So I settled with using Command + Option + `. But I can’t do this because Mac uses Command + ` to switch windows of the same application. I love it so much, I wanted to toggle the Integrated Terminal on Mac with Command + `. My left thumb is on the spacebar most of the time. This is because I switched the positions of Ctrl and Alt. The shortcut for opening and closing the Integrated Terminal on Windows ( Ctrl + `) was extremely accessible to me.

I fell in love with the Integrated Terminal when I was forced to use Visual Studio Code on Windows. "command": ""įor Windows, set Ctrl + Alt + ` via the keyboard shortcut panel. I tried adding a new simulator in Xcode with Model set to iPhone 11, closed Xcode and Visual Studio and restarted the computer. I opened Xcode and looked at the listed Simulators, and there are ten iPhone simulators listed starting with "iPhone 8" and finishing at "iPhone 12 mini". I have checked the Apple SDK path under Preferences\SDK Locations\Apple, the Location is set to /Applications/Xcode.app, and the message Xcode 12.5.1 found at the system location (xcode-select) appears above that, preceded by a green tick. In the iOS project’s ist file, the Minimum system version is set to 7.0. The menu to the right of that displays a Simulator heading, and under that, Lower the ‘Deployment Target’ to see older simulators or check your Apple SDK path.
